Michelle Weidman is an artist, writer, and community organizer based in Northern California. Previously published journalism and cultural criticism can be found at Congratulations Pine Tree, The Picture Professional, and Art Practical.
Her visual work focuses on the aftermath of desire, what is left over after we experience, often too brief, moments of satisfaction. She examines the elements of change, from the interpersonal to the super-structural, that are rearranged in our striving for liberation and where that change is necessary versus where it is incidental.
